Calvert Cliffs State Park has large cliffs and small fossils.

Greenwell State Park has horses, and beaches, and horses, and beaches, and horses, and beaches . . . .

Saint Clement's Island served as the landing site for the first Maryland settlers. It is also home to some very friendly bees and butterflies.

Saint Mary's River State Park is best known for Saint Mary's Lake. There might also be a river in there somewhere.

General William Smallwood was more than a revolutionary war general and Maryland Governor. He was also a proud homeowner. Here's a video I made inside his restored retreat house in Smallwood State Park.

There are several State Parks along the Potomac, but in my opinion Purse State Park is the most scenic.

Newtowne Neck State Park has been closed for the better part of a year, but I didn't let that stop me in my quest to document every Maryland State Park.

Ever wanted to experience the thrill of fishing in Chapel Point State Park through video? Well now you can!

Nothing will get you in the holiday spirit quite like watching a video I shot in Sandy Point State Park in July.

Turns out Rosaryville State Park doesn't have many Rosaries, but it does have a fair number of mountain bikers.

Before starting on this project I naively thought that Maryland didn't have any wild cacti. Then I visited Chapman State Park which features a field filled primarily with cacti. The Park also has a historic mansion and a beach.

Hart-Miller Island is only accessible by boat, but my Mom's friend Richard was willing to take me on a kayaking trip over to the island.

Elk Neck is one of favorite parks. It has beaches, herons, marshes, a lighthouse, and eagles packed into a relatively small peninsula that juts out into the Chesapeake Bay. I still enjoyed the scenery in spite of the 100 degree weather on the day of filming.

Palmer State Park isn't a "Park" so much as "undeveloped land." The "Park" has no parking, no markers, and no maintained trails. I ended up parking on the side of the road and getting a few shots of the Deer Creek.

When I heard the name "Rocks State Park," I thought that "Rocks" was a pretty lame name for a state park. After visiting I've had a change of heart. This park is all about the rocks. My video features the Queen and King seat, a huge rock formation that was once used for Native American Ceremonies. Also Kilgore Falls, the second tallest "Free-Falling" waterfall in Maryland.

When walking down to the Susquehanna River the following thoughts ran through my mind. "Those are the biggest, weirdest looking seagulls I've ever seen. Oh Crap! They're bald eagles! Get the camera on a tripod!"

In Gunpowder Falls State Park I actually didn't get much nature footage. Instead I got bagpipe players and historical reenactors. I spent a lot of time setting up my equipment in the cramped space that the reenactors were using but they were still very accommodating.

North Point State Park is on the Cheseapeake Bay immediately outside of Baltimore. This footage kind of reminds me of the old computer game "Myst."

Clopper Lake in Seneca Creek State Park is one of the most beautiful lakes I've seen in the state. It's hard to believe that it's so close to DC and I didn't know of it's existence until I started this project.

Below I've posted my footage from Patuxent River State Park. To be honest is's kind of a nondescript park. There's a river, some woods and that's about it. I was happy to get some interesting footage thanks to couple of very nice equestrians, in addition to a very camera friendly bee.
